About Sutter Creek Woman’s Club

Sutter Creek Woman’s Club (SCWC) was established in 1909 as an “Improvement club” for the town of Sutter Creek. SCWC has since expanded its purpose to include social, educational, civic, and philanthropic endeavors within Amador County.

SCWC has contributed to:

  • Annual scholarships for Amador County graduates to persue higher education
  • The renovation of the Sutter Creek Cemetery
  • Sutter Creek Swim Pool Drive
  • The restoration and preservation of the old Sutter Creek Grammar School
  • Capital campaigns for Sutter-Amador Hospital
  • Restoration of the Monteverde Store
  • Emergency Equipment for Amador Highway Patrolmen, American Legion and Sutter Creek Fire Department
  • Amador County Libraries
  • Amador County S.T.A.R.S
  • Pillars for Sutter Creek City Hall
  • and much, much more

SCWC holds an annual “Deal and Dine” and a “Rummage Sale” to raise funds for their scholarships and philanthropic donations.

Membership is open to any woman interested in supporting our purpose, please call Heather at 209-424-3428. She will be happy to tell you about our next meeting and invite you to attend.

Annual dues are $70 ($25 membership and $45 for scholarship)
